![]() ![]() Q Your last cookbook, “Vegan Soul Kitchen,” reinvented Southern food for vegans by replacing meat and dairy with plant-based flavors. The goal, Terry says, is to demystify the concept of eating vegan by filling the table with balanced, satisfying and delicious plant-based meals. That same vision comes through clearly in his newest cookbook, “The Inspired Vegan” (Da Capo Press, 202 pages, $19), a collection of creative recipes punctuated with personal stories. He is a frequent lecturer on the college circuit, and he is known for his “b-healthy!” program, an initiative he launched in 2002 to help kids build healthful eating habits. ![]() He currently hosts a new web-TV series, “Urban Organic,” that explores innovative urban gardens. Terry hosted the first season of “The Endless Feast,” a 13-episode PBS series about the connection between the Earth and the food on our plates, and he has appeared on “The Martha Stewart Show,” “The Splendid Table” and other programs.
